European Leaders Condemn US Move as ‘Coercion’

Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron charged Washington of “coercion and intimidation”, after the travel bans targeted individuals that were central to efforts to enact laws regulating American tech companies.

“For too long, European activists have led organised efforts to pressure American platforms to suppress American viewpoints they oppose,” wrote a senior US official online. “The current administration will no longer tolerate these egregious acts of extraterritorial censorship.”
